Jennifer Sands

Christian Author and Speaker

– a 9/11 widow’s continuing journey –

Hi, I’m Jennifer. Thanks for stopping by!

I pray that you’ll find encouragement and inspiration here.

My husband, Jim Sands, was murdered in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Back then, no one could have convinced me that I would recover from losing Jim, or that I’d ever smile again. But I have since learned that God can do amazing things that I never could have imagined.

Before 9/11, I was not a follower of Jesus Christ… but by His extraordinary love and grace, I have since undergone a radical spiritual transformation. I am now determined to share what Jesus has done for me, and what He will do for anyone who puts their trust in Him.

“Jennifer reminds us that finding
the answers is not nearly as important
as finding The Answer.”

– Joni Eareckson Tada

This is not only about September 11 or the loss of someone dear. This is about the loss of a relationship… the loss of our health… the loss of our job… the loss of our dreams. Inevitably, we all face loss of some sort, along with other challenges. Jesus is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Do you trust Him to carry your burdens?

Perhaps I can help you (or someone you know) through God’s promises in the Bible and through my own life experiences. I would love to come speak at your church or retreat… or perhaps my books might encourage a hurting heart. God recycles our pain: He comforts us, so that we can comfort others with the same comfort God gives us (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Do you trust Him to recycle your pain?

Jennifer’s Tours

Sometimes life is peaceful, like the calm and inviting waters of the Caribbean. Other times, it’s a grueling battle through heavy surf and strong currents. Difficult circumstances crash upon us like tidal waves and threaten to submerge us. And yet, in the midst of the storms, we have a Life Preserver to hold onto.

Once shipwrecked, now saved, my faith is unsinkable.

That might sound like I’m bragging, but let me explain. I’m far from perfect and I don’t always trust God like I should. But my faith is unsinkable because my faith is in Jesus. HE is my Life Preserver and HE is unsinkable. So I’m holding onto Him with a tight grip… are you?

We can face the waves if we trust the One who made the ocean.
We can face the storm if we trust the One who controls the weather.

STEVE SAINT

“If Jennifer dares to suggest that God had a purpose for what happened in her life, then we should listen. The question is not: Will tragedy come into our lives? The question is: Where will we find peace, hope, and the will to go on when it does?”

“Jennifer’s inspiring personal journey through numbing tragedy to God’s loving embrace is a compelling testimony to the supernatural healing found in Christ.”
